Readers, thank you so much for following along on ExponentialDave.com! I’ve decided to try out Substack for the time being, and so I will be publishing there from now on. Link to my new substack is here.
If you are an email subscriber to exponentialdave.com, your email has automatically been transferred over to the substack. If you subscribe to my blog through a blog of your own, I don’t have your email, so you will need to subscribe over on my substack if you still want updates from me.

MongoDB is the newest trial position in my portfolio, and I made a YouTube video here where I talk about the key points behind my MongoDB investment thesis.
Also, my March portfolio update is in progress, and I hope to have it published this week.
Let me know what you think about MongoDB in the comments!
Hi everyone, I did a mid-month video portfolio update at this link here. The start of the year has been tumultuous to say the least, but I have mostly not changed the composition of my portfolio much (with one exception in CRWD). In the video, I discuss the position change, what I hold and why at a general level, investor psychology and strategy, and more.
Hello readers! I hope you are handling the latest market volatility gracefully. Like all previous market rotations, this one too shall pass. Many of you have previously asked me about Bill.com, so I’ve made a YouTube video to give it some extra coverage. Link to the video is here. Drop me a comment with any suggestions for future videos!
Welcome to my thirteenth publicly written portfolio update (and 7th on ExponentialDave.com). My portfolio is up 320% as of writing on 12/31/2021 from when I started tracking my results in January of 2020. This means that, $100 invested in the ExponentialDave portfolio on January 1, 2020 would now be worth $420, which is more than a quadruple (4x). Meanwhile my benchmark, WCLD, is “only” up 99% since January of 2020, and the S&P 500 is up 47% since January 2020. For the period from January 1st, 2021 through 12/31/2021, my portfolio is up 30%, meanwhile WCLD is down 2%, and the S&P 500 is up 29%.

Hi everyone, I started a new SentinelOne trial position (about 3% of my portfolio including a small amount of LEAPS options on SentinelOne). I also made a quick YouTube video explaining what SentinelOne is, their financials, why I’m excited about the stock, and risks. The video is available at this link here.
I want to thank everyone for the tremendous support you have shown me here on the ExponentialDave blog, on Twitter, and most recently on YouTube! You are heard loud and clear – people like the new video content but don’t want it to take away from my written monthly updates. No worries! I have zero intent on stopping with the monthly updates.
In the mean time, before my usual monthly update, I have had a somewhat active month where I’ve made a couple of YouTube videos approximately 7-8 minutes long. The first one was when I spoke at length about Amplitude. And just today, I have followed up with another video, this one detailing my thoughts on the latest growth stock meltdown, why it’s happening, and what I did in response to it (including options), among other things. It is available at this link here.

Quick heads up: feel free to skip to the “Wrapping Up” section at the bottom which may give you a better idea about whether or not you want to read this entire post.
These days, anytime I evaluate a company and conclude that it doesn’t have Upstart like potential, I always get a little disappointed. This is what happened here with ironSource! Although we must be realistic – I can’t create a portfolio with sufficient diversification if I only own Upstart.
